Ways to Donate

Supporting Pawsitive Affects means supporting compassionate, science-based care for animals and the people who love them. Every contribution, financial or material, helps us improve lives and heal the bond between guardians and their animals.

Below are several ways you can support our mission.

The simplest way to support Pawsitive Affects is by making a secure online donation. Your financial gift helps us:

• Provide training and behavior support for animals in need
• Educate guardians and volunteers using evidence-based methods
• Expand programs that prioritize humane, ethical care

One-time and recurring donations of any amount are welcome and deeply appreciated.

Other Ways to Give – IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to support Pawsitive Affects through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA.

A QCD is a direct transfer from your IRA custodian to Pawsitive Affects, a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit. QCDs may count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and are excluded from taxable income when IRS requirements are met.

You do not need to itemize deductions to benefit from a QCD.

We encourage you to speak with your financial or tax advisor to determine whether a QCD is right for you.

Planned Giving: Leave a Legacy

Including Pawsitive Affects in your estate plans is a meaningful way to create a lasting impact for animals and the people who care for them.

A bequest through your will may be made in many forms, including:

• A specific dollar amount
• A percentage of your estate
• Cash, securities, or other property

All gifts, large and small, help support our mission and make a difference in the lives of animals in our community.

Including Pawsitive Affects in your estate plans is a powerful way to create a lasting impact for animals and their caregivers.

A planned gift, also called a bequest, may be made through your will or estate plan and can include:

• A specific dollar amount
• A percentage of your estate
• Cash, securities, or other property

In addition to financial support, in-kind donations of supplies and training equipment can make a difference as well.

Commonly needed items may include:

• Dog crates (all sizes)
• Leashes, harnesses, and collars
  • Please, no punishment-based type of collars, including choke, prong/pinch and electronic collars
• Training treats and enrichment items
